Welcome to East Grand County Schools!

Grand County is located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains to the immediate west of Rocky Mountain National Park, approximately 85 miles from Denver and in the middle of a spectacular recreation area.  If you are looking for a charming rural community atmosphere in which to raise your family and where you can enjoy the beauty of nature at its best, this is the place. A variety of winter and summer activities are available to residents and visitors alike.  These activities include fishing, hiking, horseback riding, hunting, mountain biking, rafting, sailing, skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing to name a few.  The area’s economic base relies on tourism, recreational resorts, ranching, and private business.  Covering an area of 712 square miles, East Grand School District serves the communities of Fraser, Granby, Grand Lake, Hot Sulphur Springs, Tabernash, and Winter Park.

East Grand schools may have some of the most beautiful campuses in the State of Colorado thanks to the generosity of our community.  Our academic program contributes to the development of the whole child, boasting high student achievement and high post-secondary continuing education choices.  Our staff is a blend of veterans and new members who hold themselves and their students to high expectations.  Our District Mission states: Through our educational process, every student and staff member will be challenged to think, learn, achieve, and care in a safe and healthy environment This sets a tone of high achievement for all and a clear challenge to meet the needs of all students; gaining and building on their success and development not only as a student, but also as a contributing member to society.

The East Grand School District consists of Fraser Valley Elementary (PreK-5) located in the Town of Fraser, and Granby Elementary (PreK-5), East Grand Middle School (6th-8th), and Middle Park High School, all located in the Town of Granby.  Also located in Granby is Indian Peaks Charter School, serving students grade K-8.
